Hours: 11:30-8pm & 1pm - 9:30pm variable
Job Details:
Provides a comprehensive set of business, financial and appointment-related services.Enters or maintains computer data: Master patient index integrity, Patient insurance and billing information.Performs call center scheduling, arrival desk and/or departure desk activities.Collects referring physician demographics information for communication. Recruits, initiates protocol and trains patients on MyChart system.Performs screening and scheduling of interpreter services. Initiates privacy practices and consent. Performs point of service activities; visit preparation, co-pay collection, patient tracking and record tracking.Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. Working knowledge of computerized appointment scheduling system, insurance processing or other related office functions. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to perform basic math sufficient to process insurance co-pays. Working knowledge of PC window applications sufficient to input and retrieve date. Must be able to type a minimum of 30 words per minute (assessed at time of application) or demonstratable personal computer keyboard skills.

COMPLEXITY OF WORK: Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential in order to successfully communicate with a diverse patient population and workforce. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Demonstrated independent thinking and problem-solving skills.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years patient registration, insurance processing or appointment scheduling. Receptionist, General office or a job related training program may offset some of the experience requirement. Associate Degree may substitute for one year of experience. Bachelor's Degree may substitute for the experience requirement.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Dexterity sufficient to operate a PC and other office equipment. Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds. May require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting. Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
