Job Details:
THIS POSITION WILL FLOAT TO THE OUTPATIENT FAMILY HEALTH CENTERS IN MADISON, MENTOR AND WOOSTER.
This position is in Cleveland Clinic's Internal Float Pool. Selected candidates will have the ability to create own work schedule.
SUMMARY: Provides a comprehensive set of business, financial and appointment-related services. Job Responsibilities: Enters or maintains computer data: Master patient index integrity, Patient insurance and billing information. Performs call center scheduling, arrival desk and/or departure desk activities. Collects referring physician demographics information for communication. Recruits, initiates protocol and trains patients on MyChart system. Performs screening and scheduling of interpreter services. Initiates privacy practices and consent. Performs point of service activities; visit preparation, co-pay collection, patient tracking and record tracking. Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. Working knowledge of computerized appointment scheduling system, insurance processing or other related office functions. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to perform basic math sufficient to process insurance co-pays. Working knowledge of PC window applications sufficient to input and retrieve date.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years patient registration, insurance processing or appointment scheduling. Receptionist, General office or a job related training program may offset some of the experience requirement. Associate Degree may substitute for one year of experience. Bachelor's Degree may substitute for the experience requirement.Successfully pass all prescreen compentency assessments required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: None
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Dexterity sufficient to operate a PC and other office equipment. Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds. May require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting. Good visual acuity through normal or corrected vision.
