Conducts standard operational and systems training.Provides instruction on Standard Operating Procedures and JCAHO standards related to front-end systems and processes. Conducts end-user training for a variety of business systems including Scheduling, Registration and Insurances, Chart Tracking and Managed Care. Administers performance metrics competencies, provides end-user feedback and assists in developing learning plans for students below standards. Establishes and maintains system database to support training. Participates in the evaluation and implementation of systems changes. Develops post-training support plans to expedite learning transference from the classroom to the work site; conducts post-training monitoring to ensure appropriate transference has occurred.Participates in the development of training programs. Provides ongoing feedback on traditional, independent, online and/or blended learning approaches and makes recommendations for changes or enhancements. Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Education, Health Service Administration or related degree. Four years training experience may offset degree requirement. Familiarity with JACHO standards preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION: Certification in Epic products by Epic Systems Corporation (Madison, WI) required within 18 months of hire. Yearly re-certification in Epic Products also required.
COMPLEXITY OF WORK: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Minimum three years experience in patient scheduling, patient registration, insurance collection or reimbursement. Formal Epic registration scheduling training as demonstrated during interview may offset some experience requirement. Computer aptitude and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required. Demonstrated advanced communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand and orally communicate up to 6 hours daily.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
