The Cleveland Clinic Express Care Clinics are expanding and implementing Health Spots! This expansion brings new and exciting opportunities for Nurse Practitioners in multiple locations across Northeast Ohio!
Full-time and Part-time opportunities are available at the following locations: Beachwood, Independence, Mentor, Madison, East Cleveland (Stephanie Tubbs Jones Health Center), Strongsville, Westlake (Columbia Road), Willoughby Hills, Bainbridge
Express Care Clinics see patients 18 years and older and address common health problems that are non-urgent. Common health problems can include but not limited to cold and flu symptoms, ear and throat infections, minor bumps and cuts, and seasonal allergies. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year experience in a primary care/urgent care setting. Hours of operation will vary based on location but do include evenings and weekends.
Health Spots (Telemedicine) are the latest technology in health care! The successful applicant will be located at either our Bainbridge or Chagrin Falls Urgent Cares. This is an office based position involving assessments on patients using real-time telehealth. The hours of operations will be: Monday - Friday 8 a.m.- 8 p.m; Saturday & Sunday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Flexible scheduling options are available (ex. 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts).
Summary: Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and/or specialty nursing and/or medical care in an express clinic. Functions in collaboration with a physician according to a standard care arrangement and specialty certification. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems. Certifications may include: acute care, adult, family, pediatrics and women's health. Provides low acuity patient care with autonomy, after hours in an express clinic.
Job Responsibilities: Assess health status by obtaining relevant health and medical history. Performs a physical exam based upon the age and patient history Identifies significant health and medical risk factors. Documents findings. Orders, interprets and evaluates laboratory test and other diagnostic studies to assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. Develops a diagnosis by analyzing and synthesizing collected data. Develops and implements plan of care in collaboration with the physician, patient and significant others. May perform diagnostic or therapeutic interventions consistent with certification, law and Cleveland Clinic privileges. With certificate to prescribe, may prescribe and monitor medications according to Ohio APN formulary and CCF policy. Develops and implements patient education plan. Educates members of the healthcare team. Provides health education and utilizes community resources as appropriate to promote optimal health. Other duties as assigned.
Education: CNP: Master's degree or doctoral degree in nursing.
Experience: Ideally 1 year experience as a NP or PA
Licensure/Certification/Registration: CNP: Licensed as RN in State of Ohio, national certification as nurse practitioner, current certificate of authority by Ohio Board of Nursing, certificate to prescribe preferred. BLS Healthcare Provider Required.
